Culture of Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu which has rich cultural heritage is a southern state of India. The people of Tamil Nadu are the members of Dravidians, which is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. The culture of Tamil Nadu is a mixture of art, music, dance, ancient traditions, literature. In earlier times the state was controlled by Cholas, Pandya's, Pallavas. They still respect their culture, which has its own language and still try to preserve and maintain it, in their own unique way. Tamil Nadu is the 10th largest state in India and by population it is the 6th largest in the country. The language Tamil is one of the longest surviving and official language of the state. And as for the area Tamil Nadu is the 10th largest in India – 130, 058km. the coastline of Tamil Nadu is the second longest in the country with 1,076km. Tamil Nadu is also home to many different animals and plants. The capital of Tamil Nadu is Chennai which also quite populous in the country.
